Mines, factories, and other stuff
« on: April 13, 2007, 09:02:18 PM »
If you shoot down a plane sould that person be able to get in a new one right away? Planes and vehicals should be made someplace and that place gets metal from the mines. If a mine is captured the factouies have no more ore to make a certain metal. This means the enemy can produce no more. When they run out they can't do anything. Then the other side wins. Another option to win is to capture the enemy headcouters.

:aok

Alos factories can make like 1 tank, or aircraft every 5 finents. Also each side should have a budget to pay for the mining. This budget would increese ovfer time but making things would use some money. Mines would run out of ore and the enemy would have to fund for more mines or factories. :O

Or, if HTC makes a stock, you can fund the airplanes :p   I think that would be fairly complex, and whoever has better bombers will win, getting rid of fiters.

If you pay $15 a month, it makes the factories go into overtime and you get unlimited aircraft, gv's, etc.

Spread the Targets - On the right track
I'd like to see an emphisis on more strategic targets. For example:

Rail yards - Most supplies traveled on rail. Create a circle or railways in a given region. It's one job to defend it and another to disrupt it.

Supply convoys - Generally we only see them at the base or a barge, but never a large convoy sneaking across country or a large formation of ships making its way up and down the coast to supply regions.

Submarine Pens - Granted we don't have submarines, but these were a necessary target that impacted shipping and supplies.

Aircraft factories, Tank factories - We all know that the 8th Air Force focused on Messerschmit and Focke Wulf factories to name a few.  I would increase the importance of this.

Add more of these and increase the weight of importance for victory. Doing so, in my opinion, will increase the strategic thinking and flow of the game and get away from the furball ho's out there.

How about we stop trying to make this into a RTS or some strategy game and let us fly what we want when we want. When I die I want to fly again not wait ten minutes for the miners to mine and the factory workers to make me a new plane and a train to deliver it. I want to fly not wait in the tower. This is a WWII combat sim not WWII Tycoon. You guys might have a better time plays some "Sims" game.

I believe once upon a very long time ago, that is the way it was. If you were shot down you had to wait a few minutes before you could take off again.  But too many people complained that they were paying to play this game, not sit on their thumbs.

I tend to agree.  When AKAK shoots me down I don't want to keep him waiting for 10 minutes before I climb back up so he can shoot me down again.

:D

... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

I wold never ask that they change the game, but perhaps a seperate arena.  Perhaps they take AvA and add the strategy element there.  Allow a airfield's fule supply to  become  depleted.  Or their Ammo supply.  an arena that presented a more realistic environment.  Perhpas limited aircraft types depending on the condition of factories.  Don't change the MA arenas, just add one arena that was much more realistic.  Aircraft that required warm up periods.  that could not be run at full throttle for the entire flight,  Aircraft that required cowl flaps to be used for engine cooling.

Strat targets that actually could impact the outcome of the game.

I'd love to see a bigger impact from Strats.
