I like most everything about the new look, except the dark lime green grass (astroturf?) and the dark trees. The trees look really great and detailed but just too dark. Same with the hedge rows.

If I could suggest...

Lighten the color of the grass from the lime green (or) speckle some lighter colors in it. Specks might be more natural.

Lighten the tops and sides of the trees, keep lower part of trees as is (light effect of sun hitting the tops). This should give a more natural affect as you fly over them. As-is, the trees look very much like GVs as you fly over them or even look at them from a GV. You really have to zoom way out to tell a tree from a GV.

I am still enjoying the new features and the new tank. Hope the colors and darkness can be corrected.

Thanks for the update!

(I have a new bright Envision 19' LCD monitor by the way and that is what I am using.)

It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

First the good news.
When your on the ground the update looks ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!

Unfortunately once you get airborn. Thats pretty much where the good news ends

First few posts summed it up pretty good for me.
Lack of depth.
Its like there is little to no shading or something its like its too bland

The mountains once pretty rounded now seem to have more of a straight line angular shape to them Its almost like your looking at it the old terrain in F3 mode

The ground from the air in the old version looked 1,000 times more realistic then the new version.
the new version isnt even close
The ground looked like,, well the ground, You could easily make out a mountain side from a valley. Now it looks like they all just kinda mush together.

All in all looks more 2Dsh then 3D

the water, is ...ok but I think Fester had the right idea with the color on the couple of maps he did a few versions ago

Honestly it reminds me of graphics on a game I used to play on my old Amiga 2000

Husky1 Couldnt find a thing I could agree with you on in this thread in the slightest

When your OTD (as in a few hundred feet) low or on the ground it looks GREAT. Once you climb to even 5K. It looks horrid almost like its only half done

I'd say more then anything it needs more trees and better shading around the hills and where the mountains meet the valleys.

Its definately missing a major something
Its definately not the gamma. its the over all shading and lack of detail once you get airborne and arent looking at a base or town

I even have my detail sliders on max. It helped a bit ithout loosing too much on the FR but its still way off

I completely agree with DREDIOCK's post - he summed up quite nicely how I feel about the new graphics.  I know a lot of hard work went into the changes so it's difficult to say "well, I don't really like..."
Given the amount of feedback, it is my hope that HT will continue to tweak the graphics.  All in all it's a great game - IMO the best fun $15 can buy.

Everything looks more realistic to me.  It is a lot darker, would like to fight somewhere besides Ireland every map (that green grass is to die for)

You've never been in an airplane on a sunny day, then.
