Most worthy screenies as was your movie of last frame, Tinman. I have a question for you tho. I was reading some discussion in another thread about the general darkness of the ground features--and even the sky-- on the new terrains. I haven't seen any of the others but I was remarking last night about how generally dark things looked, especially considering it was supposedly 11AM arena time on the BoB terrain we were using. I see a much brighter ground in your screen shots than I was seeing. I was just wondering if you're using any particular setting maybe other than simply adjusting your gamma up a bit? Or did you fix them up a bit in photoshop?

That default 190a5 skin BUGS me!

The black/white stripes are supposed to continue from one side onto the other, but they MIRROR from one side to the other, resulting in two black stripes touching at the top!

I mean, it would have been the most simple thing to change it when the skinner created it, but it's been like that since we got them!

It bugs me, I tells ya!

Drano: either he's jacked up the "Digital Vibrance" or he's edited them after taking them. The one with the 190 is way off, can't tell the upper colors, it's just black. Some have white clouds lightening up the terrain. The P-47 one is way off, color-wise as well.

Definitely edited/tweaked.

They are edited in PSP for clarity and saturation, but only the foreground. I've seen the comments about darkness in the other thread too and heard them on squad vox. I haven't experienced it too much though. My gamma is set where it always was (1.5 I think).

I Shop all my screenies just to get rid of the straight lines and add a bit of realism.

Film is in the making, give me a couple of days.

On mine I usually have gamma at about 1.3. But for example using the 2nd screenie above as that one has the darkest ground of this bunch, my lighter patches are much darker where the dark patches of green look almost black.

Gonna play around with my video settings when I get a few minutes to sit at the PC and see if I can fix it on my end.

Yeah, a bunch of us were missing parts and such, I had an elevator and flap missing so it was tough turning with some of you guys. I overall had a blast with this particular FSO and it was just plain fun...
