Checking or unchecking the boxes in the graphics set-up don't do anything.  Once I hit OK, close it and re-open it they are all right back where they were.

If you set the gamma slider in the graphics settings, then alt-tab to the desktop, then come back into the game, the game's gamma adjust will appear back at 1.0 (even though if you go back into the graphics settings, the slider is still at whatever you set it to).

This makes it very inconvenient to use alt-tab to hop out and into the game (unless you are using gamma adjust of 1.0 -- and the new terrain lighting is so dark, I think everyone is going to need gamma adjust much higher than 1.0).

I set my gamma to 1.7....brighter but still no depth perception over water or green terrain.  Add to this the sometimes mist or fog in the game and you've got an instant headache.

It's worth checking but I haven't done anything to it except run the update.  Checking and unchecking the boxes used to work before this.

The sliders do stay where I put them.

What about when you alt-tab out of the game then come back in (especially the gamma-adjust slider)?

Been having an intermitent problem with playing off-line. It will load untill I get "terrain loaded" and an empty load bar.
Deleteing video 8 fixes it and one off the settings in this config is gamma wich is the firs thing I ajust. My be related to what Brooke brought up.
