"Spawning in a dead vehicle hangar no longer traps you there."

Beg to differ on this. Happened to me twice today.

HTC, the problem lies in that the "destroyed" version of the VH is backwards; the part you drive out of is in the back and the solid wall is in front.

On a related note, unless this was an intentional change, the FH are still wrecked as well.

Is this what you're calling trapped or are you seeing something else?

Pyro, if you drive into the hanger wall in front of that Sherman, it's solid.

It's not the garage doors that are reversing.  What is left of the hangar after it is destroyed is part of the roof.

I understand you can't drive forward but that's not the same as being trapped.  I'm trying to find out if what's being reported is simply what is shown in my screenshot.  I'm surmising that it is.

Yes; the report is that you cannot simply throw it in top gear and roll out the front. You can get out by reversing, but I'm guessing some people don't check for that.

You know I never did quite understand this.  I have the perfect solution.. that would also help out with VBase camping issues...

When you spawn at a V-hangar it should randomly place you in one of the three... if one is destroyed, then place you in one of the remaining two.. and if two are destroyed then place you in the remaining one.  Just seems so.. simple.  It doesn't make sense to spawn inside a destroyed hangar.

Same thing with Fighter/Bomber hangars as well (if you spawn IN the hangar).

Just my .02

It seems simple, but the spawn system would have to be completely redone to do it. Currently there are two ways to spawn; click H and you pop up at a certain location in the hanger. Click anywhere else and you're spawned within a certain radius from the actual spawn point placed by the map maker.

You could make spawns into each hanger, but then you'd lose the ability to spawn in three directions from the field as each hanger would take up a spawn button on the clip board. You could also do a random spawn within a radius on the pad, but you'd end up with tanks constantly on top of or colliding with the hanger objects.
