PS1 Games?
« on: April 21, 2007, 08:28:39 PM »
Hi Guys,

The other day I found the old Play Station 1 in the storage locker, dusted it off and set it up for the kids. They love it, but our selection of games was never very good (I just never got into the TV game thing after the invention of the PC) and they can only play MotoRacer, Speed Punks, and CoolBorders3 so many times.

I just checked Ebay and there are tons of PS1 games for sale for pennies & shipping so I figured I'd buy a few. What would be your recommendations for fun games for youngsters? Suggestions for cool games for the oldsters are appreciated too.

Thanks!

anything with tons of violence, gore, and sexual content, not to mention harsh language..

:)  oh wait, you're probably a good parent, never mind :D

jet moto was the bomb back in the day...  doesnt matter who wins those races, especially when you're busy just flipping and doing all that cool stuff....

umm any tony hawk pro skater for ps1, again, winning doesnt matter, and it's another 2 play game where you can just goof off and have fun and play together...

thats really all i can think of right now... for some odd reason

My friend and I always loved Driver 2 for the older folks.  For kids you might try Spyro or something like that.  Jet Moto was also a really fun game, like Squibb said.

Grand turismo 1 and 2. Best driving games on the Playstation. You will have a blast with these two games. GT2 is the better one of the two games. It has a ton of cars, tracks and races.

GUNSHIP by Microprose was a good, fun first person POV game where you fly army helicopters for various missions. you create your own pilot and start out as an army Lt. and ascend through the ranks. I think the highest i got was Lt. Col. but it took soooooooooo long.

The original Medal of Honor. Classic.

Gran Turismo 2. One of the best driving games of all time. period. another classic

Tekken 3

This is THE BEST fighting game of the PS1 era.  This game is also great for family gatherings.  This game is clean, no blood.
