Anyone been to Chile?

Going there for a couple of weeks in June.  Yes, I know it's their Fall/Winter season but wanted to know if there's anything above and beyond the basics.

Leaving out of Bush Intercontinental (I think, the flight hasn't been booked yet) in Houston.

I just wiki'd Chile and read some things there though no expected temperatures during the time I will be there.  I guess what I am looking for is what to expect culturally.  Also, how long is the flight?  When I've flown to Panama it was a 4 hour flight.  I am expecting this one to go 10 to 12 hours.  Ugh.

The flight out of dallas is 9 hours and 20 to 40 min depending on the head wind. I think you will like it, the people are great. Be sure to drink the wine :)

Cool, thanks for the info.  Too bad I don't think they're gonna spring for first class tickets.  I hate flying.  But this will be one adventure I am sure.

I've been to Chile many times, +30 for work. Private message me and I'll send you a phone number to call me.

Nice, still hidden gem in South America.

Did you ever go to Chile?

I was in Buenos Aires, Argentina and then Santiago, Chile last week. Had a nice little tremor last Thursday. Got back to DFW on Saturday morning.

Travel schedule through September includes...

Costa Rica
Brazil
Chile
Argentina
Peru

Sorry, no I did not go.  Work conditions derailed my trip to Chile.  I really wanted to go though.
