Thanks Rattfink  :salute!

Hey bubi  :). Thanks for the tips sir. I have a question though. I'm getting above decent FR with max + High res pack. How do i go about turning up my AA? I can't seem to locate it bro. Thanks.  :aok

edit: I've found it Bubi. Can crank it up to about X4 with no lag. Tried X8 and X16 and slowed down significantly.

I've been flying DB 601 engined planes only this tour. With the planeset we have, this includes the Bf 109E-4, Bf 109F-4, Bf 110C-4/b, and C 202.
I think my favorite may be the Emil :aok
This is one sortie... 5 Kills :)

Example of how you can get the zoom to work for you... the Spitfire was 800 yards away in this shot, normally it would be almost un-seeable. Extreme zoom allows you to see much better.

Spit eventually ran back to ack... got one of his buddies in a P40 though :)

Lit up a Zero

Killed some others... nothing interesting.

Yak was though :D

Aces High doesn't have onboard AA (it doesn't have much as far as optimization goes actually), so you'll have to go to your drivers (NVIDIA control panel or whatever) and force it on in 3D application settings.

Bf 109F sortie this time... P51 decided he would drag me through some ack-ack. Didn't work out too well for him

Unfortunately, it didn't work out too well for me either  :cry

No matter... I'm pretty used to flying with half of a wing. Plus, the ack took off my left wingtip, which means that the torque is working with me, not against me.
I quickly realized something was catastrophically wrong, and that it was my wing so I did the normal routine; slow down, drop flaps to even out lift, and drop gear so that I have to use more engine (torque) to go the same speed...

Something was wrong though... my plane immediately started rolling... to the right! Oh well, I thought, the plane usually acts up right after you lose a wing. Just normal...

Leveled out... and it started to roll to the right again! Wtf?

At this point a realized the problem... not only had my left wing been shot off, but my right flap! So, instead of dropping full flaps helping to equalize the lift I had lost from the left wing, but I was actually getting MORE lift from my left wing! This was awesome, I only had to use 1-2 notches of flaps to fly completely normally!

Eventually I completely trimmed the aircraft, so I didn't even have to touch the stick, and my badly damaged Friedrich flew itself!

Now came the tricky part... landing.

Surprisingly, it was pretty eventless. I didn't bother with gear, as I had lost one, and though I can land a Friedrich with two gear out, I wasn't going to try with two gear out and half a wing.

Nice shots guys  :aok

Talon, you can always leave your AA down while playing, then before you open your film viewer, turn it all the way up.  :salute

Looks good, Talon. You should turn on antialiasing if you're getting decent framerates. In the FV at least.

Another tip for taking pictures: make full use of zoom.

How?

First go to F1 view and hit the zoom key. Zoom in until your gunsight is huge... I like it to look like this... or closer depending on what I need.

(Image removed from quote.)

When you zoom on the aircraft from the side you should get the optical illusion that the closer wing is shorter and fatter than the farther.
(Image removed from quote.)

Then of course check and then uncheck icons.

Then of course just look for cool angles! :aok

I'm going to split this up so it doesn't take so long to load...
