Meh Poll: To spy or not to spy?

Spying is lame no matter what justification you give it.

There is nothing better than a few pilots upping and driving back a horde or breaking up a base vulch with just a couple of LALAs .
After all I don’t really die I just get a shiny new airplane and the enemy that I shoot down dose as well. (but he might have to fly for 5 or 6 min to get back to the action)

I believe that the best way to stop the spying is to allow people to switch countries but they must switch arenas at the same time.
This at least would be a deterrent for this behavior.

I prefer to fly one country even though the ENY thing gets annoying at times.
That’s just the way I like to play the game.

Show's how shifty (or senile) I am, I thought we still had the 12 hour (or however long) limit after switching countries...  You mean I could be bouncing around all willy nilly?

One hour time limit for switching currently. Trying to eliminate or limit country switching is not going to prevent some sort of exchange of information. Be it through phone calls, IM, email, PMs, second accounts, etc, people have always done this kind of thing, and likely always will.

I do not support mission spying, but I got no respect for cv hiders no matter whose side you are on.

Do you mean did I hide the CV myself?
Because I didn't, I said someone else did it. I oppose hiding CVs.

When changing countries, you can not go to the same map of 60 Minutes.

Or when you change countries you have to accept that you can't get connected for 15,30 or 60 min.

Disagree.   I sometimes log in to an Arena and "the knights will be 50 down from the other two countries".   I'll switch and then an hour or two later, the Knights will be the large stack, and I'll switch back to the short stack.

Some of us actually enjoy the fight, instead of the "quantity doesn't mean quality" type whorde mongering.    Looking at the Map involves no "Tactical Strategy" at all.   Only common sense is needed to see where an inbound mission can be inbound too.

One of the problems with spying is people take advantage of the 2 week free account tryouts.  All you need to do is use a proxy server that changes your ip address and you can keep getting 2 week free accounts forever.

It would not stop the spying completely, But at least it would make the 2 account spies pay for their spying account.

I wish HTC would stop offering the two week free accounts.  I realize that HTC draws more potential customers to the game by offering the 2 week free account trials, but I also wonder how much money HTC is loosing by people that abuse the system for spying and also abuse the system by constantly getting and using trial accounts as their only account (i.e.  playing for 2 years and never paying a penny)!!!

At a mininum HTC should change the 2 week free accounts to require giving credit card info, but don't charge the account for 15 days. That way at least HTC would have an audit trail for people that abuse the system. Currently no credit card info is required until your trial ends in 2 weeks, so people can abuse the system by changing their IP address with a proxy server and just get a new trial account at the end of the 2 weeks.

someone hides my CV on the side im playing on, if it isn't sunk within a day, half day or so... i will switch sides and make sure someone sinks it. That's not spying, that's gamey game play. deal with it.  but then again, so is hiding the CV's in the first place. As for all your mishuns, who cares.

I hate it when I have to divulge credit card info for something I wish to try. (And generally pass) Seems like they are hoping you forget they have your number so they can charge you and it's one more place that has your credit card number. For all you know it may be some fly by night company if you have no previous knowledge of it.

Gave this a few days to muster.

Looks like 69% say it is lame.
Yay. A majority agrees with me!

I feel so wubbed.
