I think most would agree that out-and-out spying is at least poor sportsmanship, even if it isnt "cheating". That goes for spying on shared squad channel (like you describe) but also for sharing mission information -- which is usually on a shared channel anyway.
I'm wondering if peer pressure might be a good way to discourage that behavior. Frankly, I can't think of a better way. Same approach is used when police departments post the names of businessmen arrested with hookers, for example...
So, while I appreciate your hesitance to name names, would it make sense to reveal who participates in this stuff?
EDIT: looks like your response came in while I was adding the clarification to my last post. Again, the comment was NOT meant as a BOP slam, just an observation about the limits of squad channel.
And BTW, you can add the 332nd Flying Mongrels to your list -- we had to go to 2 wings to avoid booting the guys who fly rarely but still want to be affiliated.
