Ding_Hao,

HTC doesn't announce release schedules.  1.08 will be released when they are ready to release it.

A couple of new terrains for the main are getting close to completed. As soon as we're ready to go with them, we'll implement the new terrain rotation system that swaps out terrains when the war is won instead of every month.
Work on 1.08 is going well. We have the switchover to DX8 in beta. The purpose of that is to lay the foundation for a number of graphics improvements.

An entirely new terrain editor is being written. This runs as a separate Windows style app that will be easier to use and contain more functionality. Related to that is a new road/railroad system. As it sounds, that will allow us and terrain builders to put roads and trains into their terrains. We're going to focus on getting trains implemented first. Woo-woo.

The other new stuff for 1.08 we'll talk about once we get to working on it and can see where it stands.

Based on this post I would guess that they are adding a rail and road system, upgrading to DirectX 8 and from another post possible reviewing the N1K2-J's flight model.

HTC has not announced, or hinted at, any of the units being added to AH in 1.08.  They may not even know what is to be added themselves.

I am hoping that the Mosquito FB.VI Series 2, Me410A and P1Y1 Ginga are added in 1.08.

Ok the spit you want would be 20mph faster at AH combat alts and at 4700fpm be the best climber of the game, more than Tempest, G10, or La7. Plus you want clipped LF type wings so it rolls better than the neuterd Fw190, plus I suppose you want this clipped wing type to turn just as well as standard perhaps even better by some sort of fancy justification.
Well I gotta admit no wonder you want such a machine, it would kick bellybutton in the MA. Then it will get perked and youll be very very sad....   :)

Its a good plane but even with your reduced performance stats such a plane will be in usage numbers trouble very fast.

I donno...

No, I'd like a historically accurate Spit IX, so it won't climb as well as the G10, or roll as well as 190, or turn as well as a non clipped wing Spit.
Not asking for any special treatment, just a 1943 fighter to go with all the 1944 and 1945 ones everyone else is flying.
I mean, Britain can't have been that far ahead of everyone else, can they?

I can think of 15-20 more planes I'd like added, but the top one has to be the Ki.84 Hayate.

Nashwan - the answer is a quite authoritative yes.  :)

I want to see the Meteor III and the Me-262 in AH released at the same time. The real life Meteor RAF pilots were dying to get into combat with a 262, but the LW wouldn't play ball. Also Meteors were banned from going deeply into enemy held territory.

I'd actually like to see the Spitfire XXXXVVVVISDFHOHTEWRTTYERTTXXV VV943.  Only one model existed, well, it existed on a napkin in a pub in London.  The specs are as follows-  Top speed 947 mph at 15,000 feet, on the deck it is only capable of a measly 853 mph.  Climbrate is 8,743 fpm under WEP, until 20k, at which point it drops to an anemic 6,582 fpm.  Armnament consisted of 62 Hispano MK 974 20mm cannon (30 in each wing and 2 in the nose), with 18,740 rounds per gun.  The actual effective range of these guns were well over 800 miles, they could shell Germany from their airbases in Britain, but the pilots would of course get bored quickly.

/sarcasm off.

OK, I really do understand that there are probably some people out there that REALLY like the spitfire, just like I like the 190 and 109.  However, these people are definately in the minority.  I'd guess that 90% of the people flying the Spitfire fly it because it is an easy plane to fly, and it has the best guns in the game (even if it does only get 2 of them, with rather limited ammo).  In its "1943" incarnation, the Spitfire is still the SECOND most popular plane in the game, by a pretty good margin.  I think it was actually close to the niki in total kills last tour, I'll have to check.  Granted, the K/D ratio was not to impressive, but you can chalk that up to the fact that most people take off and point their nose into the nearest furball.  One of the reasons that the K/D is not better is BECAUSE the spitfire is slow.  I actually don't have to much trouble with them, compared to nikis and LA7s.  If a spit gets on your 6, co-E, just do what real pilots did, roll and dive.  You'll outdistance the spit pretty easily (though I did get pinged at d800 a few days ago- the guy must have been a decent shot).

Now take that 1943 spit and add 1k fpm to the climb rate, 25 mph to the top speed, and a better roll rate.  Hey presto!  You can no longer run from a Spit on the deck, you are going to have a tough time rolling away from it go get away, and you STILL can't climb away from it.  (even in the "1943" mode, the Spit can outzoom 190s, and every 109 but the G10- speaking from personal experience only of course).

I feel badly for the people that are huge fans of the Spit, and would like to see a "better" version of it, I really do.  However, that would pretty much destroy any semblence of "balance" in the MA (as bad as it is with the Niki right now, it'd be worse with that spit).

all I want is Yak-3... one of the best fighters of WW II.... not very fast, not very good climber, has small ammo load, not a very good turner...

Well it doesnt climb as good as 109K4 - G10
Well it doesnt accelerate as La5
Well it doesnt has ammo load and power of Chog and P47
well it doesnt turn as good as Zeke

But its an oustanding pure born fighter at its best and i REALLY want it in the game

PLease HT.... PLEASE!!!!!!  :)

P.S. if not Yak3? at least one decent bomber for USSR... like Tu-2 or Pe-8

When the Spit IX LF was already near the equal of and FW190D9, i wonder why British Captain Eric Brown ranked the D9 together with the Spit XIV as the #1 fighters of world war too. Taking into account that the D9 had the much better roll and the XIV had the tighter horizontal turn. Both gave each other not much in climb rate&level speed. But FW had advantage in dive.

My prob is i lost the URL of the webpage that showed those passages from E.Brown (if i remeber right, it was from the book "wings of the Luftwaffe"), when my PC crashed and i had to format HD to get it back up.

Also i wonder how any LW pilot than would have been able to survive engaments with spitfires and odds of 2-1 or 3-1, even when they were bounced by the spits.

I read the complete history of JG26 and III/JG.54 while flying DORAs and they give me the picture that still up to the end of the war the D9 was atleast the equal of every used allied fighter or possed even an advantage over them (now dont argue with pilot skill, the times i am speeking of the average allied pilot was far better educated and common with his plane that the average GE pilot).

Naudet, the Spit IX LF is no way equal to the Dora. At almost all altitudes the Dora will be around 40mph faster. It takes the Spit XIV to fight the Dora on equal terms.
Duckwing, I agree, more mid war planes in AH. Like the Spit IX LF
