!st Presidential Debate
« on: April 26, 2007, 11:32:44 PM »
Apparently CNN feels that the grouping of 8 democratic candidates constitutes the "1st Presidential Debate".  I wasn't aware that the other parties or individuals were invited to this "debate'?  Would that not make it a "true" debate?  I watched several "candidates" come very close to sedition and out right treason in their discourse on the future of this country....

I think it should be safe to say that CNN should change it's name to the TDNN...
I regret doing business with TD Computer Systems.

Nah, Bodhi. The Clinton News Network moniker still fits as much as it did in the 90s. ;)

Sorry, I couldn't resist...

Besides, one of the eight is going to be the next occupant of the White House, so we might as well have them debate. Hang on a sec, let me check my script, Bush, Clinton, Bush... well will you look at that, apparently we are due for another Clinton!

Someone should tell poor old George Soros to switch his money to the winning horse while he still can.

Bodhi, did you walk away with it feeling that there was anyone even close to qualifying for the title "Lesser Evil" of the 8?

I'm just wondering, after watching the debate (I didn't even know it was on), who'd you find the most appalling and who'd you find the least?

It's ok if it was close :D

Now that one is priceless.

Showed it to the wife and she cracked up too - we actually met over twenty years ago at a Call of Cthulhu game.

after watching this debate I must admit I was not impressed with any of them.  I would say that Biden and Clinton seemed the most mainstream imo.  Obama was too canned sounding for me.  Too scripted, he needs to become more regular in his delivery.  Edwards was too photoshop in his projection.  The rest of them were no shows as far as I could tell.

Fortunately the republicans get to select a candidate too. Lets see how much they suck.
