More Supply Lines

I wish the map would show the supply routes and roads. Plus, we need more supply trucks that will take different routes to supply a field. So we can have more strafe able targets which will effect a base. Plus, being able to bomb out a bridge which will shut off a set route. But there should be at least 1 route which will a supply convoy to get to a target. But it might be the longest route. Since the bridges to a shorter route were destroyed.

Wouldn't necessarily need to be convoys for airfields, bases, ports, and strats (although it would be nice to have more strat targets).

Just add various shipping convoys/freighters/sampans, a more extensive rail network, marshalling yards, and convoy routes.  Just, really, a whole lot more targets for the attack planes to hit.  Some pilots probably would like the attack role.  Others would like to patrol to kill those pilots.

For it to have a strategic impact would be a bonus, but not a necessity for AHII.  Maybe if/when we see AHIII?

Unfortunately i don't see it happening, but i do like the idea.  Planning missions to destroy a bases lifeline before capture.  To compensate make the bases harder to capture, forcing the enemy to beat down supplies in the area.

I see missions of 47's being escorted by 51's and 38's.  Could be a fascinating new aspect to the game IF implemented wisely.

Greetings,

I don't think this will happen until / if the big maps are back in the rotation.  On a big map, I think we could get away with implementing the fuel porking.  Then there would be strat targets for all!

I understand there used to be a 'Train Marshalling Yard' which, if leveled, had an impact on the ability of all fields to resupply.  Would be cool, but not needed, the City fills that roll for a given zone now.

Regards,

I'd be happy with just the supply routes on the map. i never can seem to find enemy railroads.

bombable bridges would be AWSOME, something WORTH attacking..

automated GV colums would be cool also... like say 5 or 6 trucks escorted by an AI gun truck or something to that effect.. that SHOW UP as red "supply" or "gun truck" just like enemy..
