a pain, maybe but it's realistic.

the only realistic way to avoid constant weather conditions is to have weather that changes

I also have a haze effect.  I'm assuming that's how it should be.  No haze above the cloud layer.

If this is how it should be I can live with it.  No biggy but does make cv hunting a little harder if it's not already burning.

In general this new patch is a blessing I bet the GV'ers love it.

I've noticedthe haze primarily when approaching bases at 12,000 ft for dive bombing.  It's a lot harder to see the air fields or towns until almost on top of them.  I would prefer less haze.  It puts no one at a disadvantage since it's the same for everyone so I don't see it as a "problem".

I'm a little puzzeled that everyone doesn't see it but my monitor is several years old, I have a mid-range video card, and my eyes are a lot older than my monitor.:)

If your running 1024 textures grab the latest Hi-res pack, made a hell of a difference to me.

I have noticed a bit more haze since the patch also. Doesnt seem to be much of a real problem for me. Of course I am nearly blind anyway.

There seems to be a lot more cloud formations as I fly around. The density of the haze seems much more prominent when aiming bombsights. It seems much more difficult to locate the target at higher altitudes now.

Most of my bomb runs are between 8-12k alt and doesnt seem a problem. I have flow a couple missions with HARM and Special Events above 15k and it seems the higher I go the harder it is to find the target. Of course this seems to make sense to me that it would be harder to see the target at higher altitudes.

For example I flew the HARM mission Sunday afternoon. Our altitude over the target for the bomb run was 25k. I had to search hard to find the target in my own bombsight. IIRC we were about 30 seconds from the target before I actually sighted it and was able to calibrate my bombsight for the run.

Just my thoughts but it seems to add some realism that I did not notice before. Of course I am relatively new to the game. So others may have a more accurate feel for the changes.

Later,

I'm getting quite a bit of haze too.

Its much worse when its dawn/dusk.  Higher you go the more haze their is.

I guess its something we will have to get used too but it wasnt there with the lime green muck ;)

I get haze also . Don't really like it much at all .

I did find that it cleared up over 16 k on the Islands map .

If we were voteing , I would vote for clear skys please .

Could this be some bug caused by the "fix" for the smoke etc ?
