HTC, I know i'm speaking for a lot of people when I say this.  PLEASE OPEN OTHER MAPS TO THE ARENA's!  Whether how large, or small a map is, there will always be people willing to defend a base.  Lately its just the same two maps over and over....I havent been able to play AH for a couple days now simply because im just so bored with these maps......Please give us donut, trinity etc...back.  At least give it a shot?  And if it works, then awesome.  If it fails, at least we tried.

PLEASE!  Uterus is driving us nuts!

I'd love to get Trinity back.  Hell, I'd love ANY OTHER MAP!  How long can we continue to fly uterus and isles?  Its become so boring and repaticious (sp), i've lost total interest for logging into the arenas all together.  (and no, im not cancelling my account lol).  I just really wish we could give the medium and larger maps a shot in the MA's....(at least late war)

I would be inclined to agree... everyone knows the tactics involved for all three of the maps that tend to be in play in both LW arenas.  There really isn't much in the way of differentiated strategy... I'm not whining about this, I just remember the way i couldn't put down this game when i saw a new map.  Maybe, I've just been playin so long.....

Nothing worse than logging on and finding Uterus up on both LW (as is currently).
It is by far the worst map in the whole set.

Anway of at least getting a check, so that if a reset happens the same map doesn't appear in the reset arena as in the other arena.

sadly i posted three threads on this subject before HTC would give me a response and it was

Could it possibly be, that we are completely undecided, have no plan with maps, we are busy with other issues and hence have no opinion that we wish to share with our players?

I have long since learned until we have a really good idea what direction we wish to go, the only purpose announcing ideas serves is to create more strife in the player base.

And I am sure even stating the truth like above I will now be criticized for not having a good enough game plan.

to which i said

thanks for replying, thats all i wanted, just to know where we were at,
to be fair to "atoon", when after 3 threads in which the community asked for some sort of update, you do sorta wonder.

we don't like to assume it's just that you don't know yet because we had the arena split sprung up on us with no warning and you certainly had your idea and direction clear then...

so dont get your hopes up for aything to change soon

Irregardless, I think we should all watch out for your grammatical strategery and syntactical witchrafterieness.

I don't understand what is so hard about adding the old maps back into the rotation. That doesn't take a board meeting to do. That response from HTC sounds like some PR bs to me.
I am not going to pretend to know anything about map making here..and maybe one of you with some knowledge on the subject can chime in and help me to understand why it isn't just a few simple clicks away to put the old maps into the current map rotation. Anybody?

I don't know all of the reasons why large maps aren't in rotation but what I do know is this...

1) Large maps now need to be recompiled to work with the game.

2) There are 6 or 7 maps in rotation. Want to see a different map? Win the war and you'll automatically get the next map in rotation.

3) If you can't live with a map for a few days now, just about every large map has had times that it wasn't reset in a week's time. That would require Skuzzy to intervene on a weekly basis and manually reset the maps again. Else, people would complain that the map has been up too long. (sound familiar?)

4) I've watched the current maps rotate through in a matter of hours. I come on between 5 and 6am EDT and by 5pm EDT they've all rotated though back to the same map that was there that morning. So, depending on what time you fly will greatly influence what map you see.

5) You can always try Early or Mid war. Mid war isn't that different from Late War. Early war is a challenge. Try them, you might wind up liking them.
Most of the people you meet in life are like slinkies. Pretty much useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

I still don't understand why HTC feels these maps are "too big" for the MA.  We routinely push 300 players in the LW arenas (2 bad we dont have the old server...i sure miss 500 players).  300, hell even 220 is more than enough to fill a big map.

bring er back!
