Yippee Yes the scenario is taking place on the Italy map which is used for FSO so there shouldn't be any map problems.

Doobs, no offense taken! Filth has a lot more experience than I do in things like this. I wouldn't shy away from the challenge, though, as sometimes it just takes a single move to turn a fight, or luck, or thinking outside the box, or whatever.

Husky: I think I might, but I want to hold off and see if the other side needs an XO or advisor-type-person before I sign on as GL with you. I mean, first we need a CO for the other side, then see if he's asking for any help, then if not I'll decide which side to fly with :)

Single life DOES add to the tension and immersion, since living and dying MATTERS so much more that way.

And my liimited experience with multlife events has left me wondering: doesn't multi-life structure allow minor design imbalances to magnifiy dramatically? Scenario balancing must be tremendously tougher with multi-llife, as opposed to single life, events.

Here's what I mean: if one side has a little better plane, or tactical positioning, multiple lives make that advantage get bigger and bigger with every respawn, until what should be a minor factor can be the point that decides the outcome.

So even though I've had a hankering to get into strategy positions for scenarios, I'm going to pass as well.

Multi life ...

now some of you disagree with a multi life  event . But in the past it gives your country basically double the numbers by having 2 lives .

in past events (malta as example) the 2 lives worked really good .... this gives you the chance to keep participating if you happen to die early ... Most of us feel this is more important in a long immersion type scenario then dying and having players log out.

There isnt so many lives in a plane here that you can use the MA attitude of up kill die reup .... rinse repeat  .  you will have to be cautious enough to keep your plane and you get points for landing successfully in Husky .

This is one of those events were multi life works best .

Now If you guys wanna pack the Arena with 400+ players we could alter the life amounts and would probely do so .  :aok

Having helped in "Malta" and participated in all of "Stalins Fourth" and flown 2 full practices and 1 frame of "Downfall" (buggers canceled it before I could get back from vacation!), I can say that multi-life events can definitely add new elements to the tactics and strategy.

Don't mistake "multi-life" with "MA horde". they are not the same!

This is a structured event, no 2 ways about it. Depending on the rules of any scenario, you will be required to count lost aircraft, or to save special aircraft before the timer runs out, or whatever.

Multi-life is just part of the description, it doesn't change what it will be, a scenario event, with all the expectations one associates with that.
