Happy Birthday Dad

Dad did a career in the Navy, I did mine in the Army. The Army/Navy Game was tight between my Dad and I. I remember in '76 going from Ft Bragg to Norfolk to see him on the weekend just to watch the Game.  Mom hated it cuz Dad and I would drink beer, tell off colored jokes and cuss alot watching the Game... All the time nudging each other over plays, fumbles and interceptions.  He swore he'd always get the last laff in... On my way back to Bragg while getting gas I noticed a "Go Navy" bumper sticker on my car...LOL..

I fished, camped and hunted alot with my Dad. He taught me many things at a young age that helped me thru life.  There wasn't a knot to be tied that he couldn't do, a electrical splice that he couldn't make. Not a thing concerning HVAC that he didn't know off the back of his hand. Plus helping me make my first worm farm or build my first kite.

Today is my Dads 72nd Birthday.

I buried my Dad at Arlington Natl Cem last October.

As much as I wanted to place a "Go Army, Beat Navy" on his Urn, I figured that I'd let him have the last laff.

My Dad was my Hero.

Happy Birthday Dad, I miss you.

Mac

Man my Dad was my Hero.

Just take some time out and let your Dad know that you love him.
