I ran accross this in another forum, interesting and informative info on Lee Marvin, Bob 'Capt'n Kangaroo' Keeshan and Fred 'Mr. Rogers' and their WWII hreoics.

All lies!


Not to forget Eddie Albert and his piloting a landing craft and saving numerous GI's from the water while under heavy small arms and mortor fire.

I stand corrected, however, the Eddie Albert story is true.

Then World War II broke and Albert signed up. Albert served as an officer in the navy during World War II, seeing combat in the Pacific Theater. In 1943 during the fighting of the Japanese on Tarawa he rescued 70 wounded Marines, earning him a Bronze Star for his heroic bravery.
