id say yes to the nuke on one condition.
model the radiation as well so after the base has been captured the radiation stays around for the next 2,000 years.if anyone ups from that base they die slowly (5-8 mins) from radiation sickness.

i can see a 20-30 plane mission taking off from a nuked field without them nowing it and all blowing up after 5 mins :D

In case you hadn't noticed, Hiroshima and Nagasaki are bustling, modern cities with large, healthy populations in the here and now.  There is no 2,000 year wasteland from a single WWII style atomic bomb.

Oh, the joy of old threads brought alive - Solas, mate, you've brought alive a thread you wouldn't want to see. And SFraptor, Solas stated in his post that the game is "Lock On Modern Air Combat" (which you quoted with the pics and all).

Oh, and about the B-29,

Not true, perhaps you are thinking of nukes. We won't be doing those. The B-29 was one of the first planes mentioned when the perk system was announced. If it wasn't such a big time-intensive project, there's a good chance it would be in the game already.

i was taking the piss.

ok in laymens terms: drop a nuke on a field thens its unusable, if a field is unusable then whats the point in nuking it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if theres no use in nuking a field then whats the point in having nukes!!!!!!!!

not to sound like i support nukes being added, but technically, they could still be used for HQ raids

you can already do the same thing with 1 flight of lancs already, but that's just not as much fun:rolleyes:

It might come. In 2005 they said B25-H will not be in the game because of the 75mm gun

Once school gets out, I bet at least two of these threads and 1 of the b25/cv threads a week. Any takers?:t

You'd also have to deal with the nuclear winter + associated after effects (small maps, lots of fallout) - well, at least until the map reset I suppose... :p

the reason you will never see a tall boy or grand slam is that some dolt would go out hunting tanks with it at 200 ft.

Vote YES for Nuclear

I am now in favor of the NUKE - here's what it should do.

1.  You drop it...
2.  It goes off 10ft under your plane, vaporizing you and everything within 5 miles...
3.  The game immediately NUKES all postings by you in the forums, and bans your IP address...
4.  Simulated EMP (from the game client), immediately NUKES your internet connection, and then proceeds to scrub your hard drive so that we don't ever have to hear you whine about how the game needs a NOOK again.

Stuka Bomb 1800kg = 3968lbs

British Cookie:
http://www.wwiiequipment.com/4000lbhc.aspx

There's very little in it.

A-Bombs aren't tactical weapons and Aces High is a tactical game.

Strategy = Killing Civilians.

Tactics = Military Engagements.

Not strictly true but for the purposes of gameplay it highlights how little we need an A-Bomb.

Now, no more threads about A-Bombs or I'll go all Chris Crocker on you! I mean it!
