the FM should be (and for the most part, is) simulation quality, regardless of what happens in the rest of the game.

Not really.  The planes can be inverted, and while rolling, still have a positive g vector relative to the pilot.  It would not be like the dash-cam footage of the guy rolling the car while not wearing a seatbelt.

Also, those big bomber wings have a low wing loading allowing more maneuverability than one would expect.

I do know that B-52's, after they drop, can turn inside a F-15 at altitude.  This frustruates the fighter jocks to no end.

While I know that this is not directly applicable to our WWII craft, it does illustrate the point.

Not really hard to do.... with practice. 24s work pretty well also.
