At the risk of another *yawner* HO thread...

I posted a while back that I would HO any of y'all w/out feeling guilty about it.  Truth is: I don't even fly unless it's squad night.  And if I do ever fly, I spend the entire time augering.

But I get it now. I play online backgammon (more than I play AH).  It drives me up one wall and down another when my opponent bumps me for no good reason.  If they bump (often losing their own tactical advantage, and placing themselves in a worse position than before the bump) merely to bump, it gets me *steaming* mad.

Ok... so now I understand y'alls frustration about the HO. And I changed my mind; if I ever learn to fly I won't HO ya.

If I send your blot to the bar it's in the hope of gaining a turn or two waiting for you to get back on a point.

Same with a head on shot. If you come at me and I can smoke you without wasting time in a longer fight that's to my advantage too.

Strictly speaking of flying ability, go to the TA texas. Any one of the trainers can turn you into a kller. Just tell them you want to practice ACMs. It's where I started.

I guess my feeling on the HO is that any time a bad guy is in my sight I am going to fire, regardless of his position on the clock.

Now having said that, I would prefer it not be a HO because if we are in a head on situation and he is in my sights, that means I am in his.  Not a good thing.

I think it's unlikely to have been me. If I had actually gotten into a plane, it wouldn't have been a buff... and if I did manage to shoot someone down, it was on accident...

several times? completely unlikely

Both:)

I didn't understand the whole 'mad about the HO' thing until after I kept getting bumped when playing backgammon.

I was going to post this in its one thread, but TexasMom has the right topic so here it goes:

Seems lately there has been some exceptionally first-rate combat action in the MAs. I have noticed quite a bit of banter on 200 and the BB about head ons.  After a malicious remark from another player I decided to ask the AH community for there perspective.  I noticed that a HO is common in the MA; I say more do to amount of people and different techniques of pilots.  But my question to the AH community is thus:  When presented with the circumstances of a head on pass, meaning two aircraft moving at each other do you A) Not fire in hope that plane B doesn't fire and gun you down in the first pass. B) Blaze away in hope of you killing him before he kills you. C) Turn out and attempt to come in from the high six if plane B hasn’t already started.  Obviously the options matter due to circumstances, whether just furballing, defending or on the offenence, but I'd like to hear general opinion.  Thanks all <>

Not the topic I expected when I saw a "texas mom" was going to be talking about "Ho's"   :lol

:D You should know me better than that Sim!
I wouldn't talk about anyone in a personal manner by calling them a HO :D
And if I did, I'd not post it publicly :D

Never would have thought otherwise, mom -- I just have trouble passing up an opportunity for a bad pun!
