Fix My DVD Player
« on: May 09, 2007, 01:39:07 PM »
I have an APEX 1250X DVD Player which plays DivX format files.  Up until yesterday it worked fine.  I now get the message "No supported files found" when tring to play a DivX disc.  Regular DVDs play fine and DivX DVDs I've played in the past aslo do not function suggesting the problem is only with the DivX function.

The user manual kind of sucks and the web site is no help.  I've reset the device, unplugged it and tried a dozen different discs.  Anyone have any suggestions?  Any one have this problem before?

Don't make me go out and buy a new one.....

I'm not a hardware guy, but I thought of this cartoon immediately. Good luck on getting it resolved.

Ah yes, thanks.  Haven't tried that yet.  I'm guessing that will be the last resort.  It did cross my mind last night though!

Now you tell me.  I paid $19.99 for it in December.  You mean I'll never get that back?

Note to MotorOil:  "Never buy a Dvd player thats costs less than the Dvd you're going to play on it"

Damn Motor, at $20 thats practically a disposable player.  I'll bet on the bottom of the dvd player its says only good for 100 plays, or it has an expiration date...

It would have cost $20.99 with the label on the bottom. Materials you know..... VAS = value added sticker

I took Rip's advice.  Worked one more day, now it's dead again.  Guess I'll just have to spend more time playing AH.
