Picture Hangar Notice

Attention Aces High pilots and other Picture Hangar members,

Our current host is charging a monthly rate that is far more costly than the current market average.  (You've gotta love Saw's dedication to the community for paying as much as he has been.)  Therefore, we are hereby notifying you that Picture Hangar is once again planning to change hosts.

The change is expected to begin sometime in the 2nd half of May 2007.

We will unfortunately be forced to lock the Picture Hangar web site during this transition.  We intend to give you at least 2 day's notice before locking the web site.

Downtime will be minimized as much as possible--thanks to the help from someone with a fiber connection, which will allow for a speedy data transfer.

Please note:  The personalized URLs that have been assigned to each of your files will not change during this transition.

We appreciate your patience.  By changing hosts, it will be much easier (and, affordable) for us to continue providing this free hosting service to the community.

Thank you,

TBolt
on behalf of myself, Saw and Kebab Meister

P.S.: This should definitely be the last time we'll need to change hosts.  The cost is excellent.  The service has tested very well.  And, the account has more bandwidth than we could ever possibly use.

As a recent new member to the Hanger I didn't know the efforts that went behind it.   Thanks for this and thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

Saw is just about ready to lock the PH web site for a while and begin the transfer to the new host.  Please be aware that the site will probably be locked within 48 hours.  The site will be unavailable to us until the transfer is complete.  We're hoping this will take no more than a few days.

Thank you for your patience throughout this very necessary process!

With what we're paying, we'll just wait quietly until everything is sorted out.

Thanks again. :)
