Lefty LanguageMost rational adults have long recognized the gradual modification of the English language that has been taking place in this country for several years. The overhwelming majority of these modifications are the work of those fun-loving folks on the left side of the political spectrum. Here's a few of my personal favorites (sarcasm):Tolerance: This term used to have an entirely different meaning than it does today. Tolerance today means accepting/embracing the emotionally based opinions of those far-left loons that spew their drivel on a daily basis. It does NOT mean tolerance of rational, logic-based fact. The truth is far too harsh; it must be dumbed down, or outright changed in order to not offend those on the left.Gun:Another term that is passe to those on the left. "Gun" isn't sinister enough for their purposes. Now, folks on the left insist on words like "semi-automatic," "assault rifle," "military style rifle," and niftly little add-ons like "high capacity magazines," and "flash suppressors." Those terms are much more sinister sounding, and suit the lefty loons' agenda much more so than a simple, useful term like "gun," "pistol," or "rifle."Illegal immigrant:Don't get caught using this term, unless you don't mind being labeled "racist," or "intolerant." The term du jour is either "migrant worker," or "undocumented worker" (I'm not really sure which is best, as it seems to change weekly).Homosexual:This one is equally passe, and downright "insensitive." Words like "gay" and "lesbian" are preferred by the hyper-sensitive folks on the left. While the absurdity of this evolution of language is clear to most people, it continues unabated. What a load of crap.As my buddy Hambo likes to say: "Your sensitivity is not my responsibility."
