Thank You Very Much!  I will celebrate by finishing a few skins this weekend.

No. Right click and drag, shift click and drag, if you screw up your view hit "default view".

How are you supposed to use the skin viewer?  I tried to use the "browse" button to select a skin from the skins folder, but it comes up with a message of "no readable material?.  I've tried dragging and dropping - but no good.
Are there some basic instructions somewhere on how to use it?  Thanks!

"Right click and drag, shift click and drag"?  I need something more than that!  Do I open up thru the "Browse" button or do I drag it directly from Windows Explorer?  When I tried to drag a file (example 109e4_1.res) from the "open plane"  function the action wasn't allowed. I attempted doing the same via Windows Explorer but that action was denied as well.  When I attempted to use the "Open" button in the 'open plane' function I get the message Alert window which states "This file doesn't contain viewable information"

Obviously I could use a bit of help here!

Thank you, Captain Obvious.

I was thinking more along the lines of "How the hell do you load up anything except the standard shapes res file, and how do you zoom into anything besides '40', whatever the hell that's supposed to mean?".

Also was wondering why the view is so badly fisheyed (load up the B-17 and right mouse-button spin it around, you'll see what I mean).

he skin viewer will only show u the default skin and any skin ou have made a folder for and added to your skin selection. It doesnt show res files.

If you first open it and it shows nothing hit the browse button, this should show the aces high folder and all folders inside it.
now click on the res file that says stdshape.

now you should have something appear  and then be able to select any aircraft or texture from the drop down list.

Tilt if u can only see the top of the plane right click on it and move it with the mouse till it turns over.

right click and control moves it for distance closer and father away.
another is right click and alt to move it around too.

if the plane goes mad just hit the reset view button
