Recently the Training Corps (Bless their busy souls) decided that they no longer had the staffing to schedule 1v1 training sessions. Instead, they're asking players to attend the open training sessions or the scheduled skill clinics now being listed on their calendar. It's an understandable decision, since the subscriber base just keeps growing, but when combined with the (also understandable) killshooter on DA it means finding 1v1 skill training is going to be harder than ever.
We have a great community. I know there are many without the official trainers' title who volunteer time in the TA. There are also many who are generous with tips and have a knack for explaining things, without ever expecting recognition. I expect some of these folks would be willing to step up and unofficially fill this gap.
So if you're in a squad that has new players, try to be a bit more proactive in offering training -- don't wait to be asked. And if you're willing and able, look for chances to adopt and mentor intermediate players, who have moved past the newbie stage but haven't gotten the chance we had to get one on one training time.
AND if you are interested in either taking on an apprentice for long term training, or in offering some "spot" teaching oriented duels, then let folks know....maybe by posting here.
