Howdy all

I'll be visiting Helsinki, Gdansk & Bratislava between August to October (as well as Paris in June) and was wondering whether anyone could recommend some good bars/restaurants/titty bars?

Also any 'must sees' whilst we're there?

Some of the Finns in AH (Camo, BlauK at least) are from Helsinki, I'll try to direct them to this thread. Or I might spare a day or two to share a beer even if I am from Tampere.

edit: I notified the Finnish ah-community of this thread, I hope you'll get some replies from Helsinki at least.

I just posted about this to the Finn Squads forum in here (We have a shared forum for all the Finns in here).

I was planning the Munchen trip a couple of years ago when you posted about a mini-meeting in there, but cheap flights wouldn't just fit into my schedule... Hoping to see you here in Finland.

Please give later, when you know, some more detailed information when you'll be coming. We have a habit of taking our virtual piloting camrades around when they're here, if timetables just match.

Nice things to see are for example the museums:

You can also find submarine Vesikko at Suomenlinna, which is a prototype of the U-boat IIA class. Though, it's open only till the end of august.

Thanks for all the info & links. Some nice aircraft in that aviation museum. Would love to see that U-boat too (still haven't seen the one here in the Deutsches Museum, Munich, yet).

I'll have to see what I can squeeze in because I'll be going with a friend, maybe a couple of others, who aren't into aviation history although we do work with the aviation industry! lol

Just select Gdańsk ( Gdynia and Sopot are basically same town as Gdańsk. They call it tri-city).

i live in warsaw, but i did swing by there on occasion. It was business trips however so can't give any good tips.

As for lads nights out, they are famous in poland - especially british lads nights out in cracow

We're booked for Saturday 15 Sep - Monday 17 Sep. Just two of us at the moment but a couple more may join us. Lufthansa have been having flights for just €100 so we're busy booking as many flights as possible
