I've been playing the battlefeild 2 demo seems like alot of fun, but with any online firstperson shooter you get the kissie quake mentality in some of the servers but i found a couple servers that run the game right.

So i went out and bought the Collectors edition of the game, it came the BF2, BF2 Special Forces and BF2 Euro force and BF2 armor force expansion packs to this day i cant get any of the game to play Freakin Pisses me off to no end,BUT the demo plays fine lol go figure

Been on the Phone to there techs now 4 times they cant fighure it out as to why it wont play UGH!!! Thank the Stars i still have dependable Aces High to play anytime i want. (just wish i could play the other)

I quit BF2 a couple months ago as too many servers were skewed toward team members (one side, team side got all unlocks, non members or non-team side only get access to default weapons), team oriented servers being very lopsided as to numbers and skill, and heavy use of aimbots and cheats was getting ridiculous.
BF2142 never worked well for me, security problems nonstop and lots of dropped from server, lockups, and crash to desktop issues.

Another thread around here seems to indicate that WW2OL is going down fast.

Some around here swear by http://www.warrock.net/  but I have not tried it myself yet.

Pirates of the Burning Seas should release in a month or two, if you care for that kind of MMOG.

Two online games I can highly recommend:

Red Orchestra - It's based on the WWII Russian front. It has combined arms (infantry/tanks). I've been playing this game for 4 years, ever since it was a UT2003 MOD. It's now a full game which can be purchased through Steam for $20. To me, it's the most realistic of the WWII "action" games out there. I've been gaming since the days of the Vic-20, and no game has kept my attention for this long. They keep adding new items and maps quite frequently.

Armed Assault - It's from the makers of OFP. It's a modern war simulator. They are going for realism over twitch style game play. It's like an enhanced America's Army, which includes ground/sea/air vehicles. I'm really enjoying playing this with the Tactical Gamers  squad online.

The stunted twin of Aces High is Warbirds, which has WW1 (FLYBOYS), WW2, Armored Assault (tanks) built in.

iL2:1946 seems to have revamped the multiplay aspect of that game.

Battle of Britain ( Storm something? ) should be coming out around September from UBI as well.

WW2:Online is reportedly dying.

Silent Hunter 4 is out and I think that is multi-play as were SH2 and SH3.  SH4 is the Pacific and allied subs v Japanese  SH2 and 3 were German subs.  Also, SH2 and SH3 have tons of mods currently available.

Few other things coming...  Let me know if you need links.

I played Red Orchestra while it was just a UT2K4 mod. That was the only game that could draw me away from plague called Aces High.

Haven't bought any game for about 3-4 years i think.I regret it, would have spent less on them than on stupid ah now:(

SWAT4 is quite interesting MP game, although I haven't tried an expansion in MP. The only problem is that I grew tired of the repeative maps - Happens with every FPS game.
