Cool, kills tanks and planes in one GV.

If you're going to post a thread, research it please.

This "bug" cannot be resolved better than it currently is. Due to internet lag, if GVs could hit each other, they'd be the dumbest game of bumper cars invented. Some GVs and planes could be up to a kilometer away from where you see them on their computer and on the server. If you "ran into" them on your side and stopped, they might see you suddenly stop 500 yards away from them. That's the easiest shot there is in the GV world.

Theres always something that can be done. The problem isn't as much that you can park inside, and shoot someone to steal the kill, but that it renders them completely useless Because your model blocks their sights completely, and even if you do turn tour turret around and shoot them, the shell doesn't gain any lethality until the end of the barrel. Now Since there is nothing to do, why not make the shell originate from the center of the turret making it easy enough to kill them.

I turned my turret directly through the Flak and put a shot "into" him. and my shell flew off into the distance.

The geometry of the tank turret has the barrel as a solid object to decrease how many polygons are rendered. If you fired from an origin inside or behind the barrel in this game (without any major model overhaul) the shot would kill your turret and never leave the barrel. This is how I've heard it described before.

However, you can also contradict that point with another one; you cannot hit the barrel of a tank with any kind of weapon.

If I'm in a tank or Ostie with the turret gone I love parking inside an enemy tank making it impossible for the guy to aim or use his gun.  When he starts up and moves so do I, staying right on his tail so as soon as he stops I get back inside.

I've also done this to friendlies who, after repeated requests, refuse to turn off their engines.

It infuriates them.  :lol

Same here...
I have sat inside Tigers for 10 minutes while the town is taken down.  Then when he moves in for the kill I slowly follow and and make the dash for the town.

Didn't know you could kill yourself in the game without shooting a friendly?  So it would be self-shooter instead of kill-shooter?  :D

Why couldnt the same rules apply to the barrel of tank, and the drones of a bomber? I cant shoot myself down with any of my drones, or vise versa.

Fire a rocket low to the ground or out dive a bomb. You'll kill yourself.

That is different than shooting a gun and killing yourself.

Not if you're firing an HE shell. An AP shell fired into a solid object isn't pretty either.
