Passion of flying the 38 and that's all they fly or atleast their stats reflect the 38 being their main ride and all credit to them. If LAP is going to be the 39 that's great, nice to have a community to share information on a interesting aircraft. But in doing so as a LAP member one would expect your stats to reflect that passion for the 39.

Hence my comment, will be interesting to see how many are still flying the 39 as such three months out from release. My expectation is it will have the usual (new release) popularity but will dwindle down to a few hardcore pilots after a few months that fly it as their main ride.

If the P-39 is a passion of yours then all the power to you and I hope your group has fun but the majority will do so because it's the "flavor of the month" and nothing more.  A status symbol.  Sadly, the reasons why some of these groups were formed have been lost on a lot of those when creating their clubs.

I'm sorry but this "it's not the plane it's the pilot" crap is just that...CRAP.
While I do agree that you are ultimately responsible for putting yourself in the position to get shot down and having an experienced "pilot" (i guess that's what we call gamers now)LOL-on the other end your chance's of surviving will drop dramatically and it still doesn't mean the "plane" has nothing to do with it. If your in a turn fight and your using a zeke as opposed to a Dora then you probably are going to have a better chance at winning that fight aren't you? Ya-I'm thinking so....even if you are a newb. You will never convince me that you need "skill" to move a joystick around sitting at your computer...You just need to know WHERE to move it and when.  Granted, you shouldn't be turn fighting with a Dora in the first place so there is where the "it's not the plane, it's the pilot" stuff comes in. I will fight anything in anything just because it's a game and I don't "fear" anything in a GAME. But, if I had to pick which I think would be the easier kill between a experienced gamer using a Dora and a newb using a Zeke (while I was using a pony)....I would definately say the Dora. So, this "good pilot"LOL theory is crap.

I hope our 3 way 262 30mm crossfire didn't scare you last night freez :p

After your attempt at spraying on me (fair enough i do that also to biatches in 262s all the time)  i killed the throttle and rode your six  just as I pumped up some 30 mm sprites into your fuselage,  I hear my wingmen cutting across from either direction both nailing you.  It wasn't  a nice spot :)

I didn't even get an assist after seeing the sprites and the explosion !  lol

Steal killing bastiges  mwahaha!

Assuming they are higher/more E. The Hurri IIc is almost there but usually it's just too slow to be a threat. Of course, any decent pilot in any decent plane diving on your six can give you trouble, but the planes above are the ones that make me think "oh for ****s sake"

This quote blows ALL of your reasoning out of the water!

This is a game....as you said, the "skill" IS "where to move it and when" and seeing as the cartoon plane isn't the one deciding where and when, it must be the "player".

So i guess what your trying to say is it really IS the pilot, not the plane:D

The you haven't met up with Fringe, Soulyss, or Lazer in a 38.  I am sure you would change your opinion after fighting any of them in their 38's.  You might kill them, but there is nothing easy about it.

Err.. So isn't that the skill then? Unless the planes are flown by bots it's always going to be the pilot.

The 5 eny planes are the least frightening because they are usually flown by Dweeb horders.  I fear f4u's and 109 k-4.  Also, ki-84's that are at 15k.
