Any one plane doesnt  make me nervous since it could be a new guy in a Tempest and an ace in a c47. You never know. What makes me sweat is getting trapped by a fast plane, and forced to manuever long enuff that a hurri or a6m can join in. Then it gets interesting.

I don't really fear any plane, it's the trees that get me.

I fear only to see no planes at all.
There is nothing more frustrating than flying 30 minutes without any chance to fight.
On the 20th minute with almost empty tanks I will be happy to see even Hurry on high six of my Ki84

K/D/ is not a problem, K/S is the problem.

Fly a spit 16 and you really dont have a problem with any other plane in the game but that high hurri..

ive killed 262s 163s and every other plane in the 'ol hurri.  by far my favorite plane, just wish it was a little faster, okay maybe alot faster. so when i want speed i go to the 190s, i cant get over the roll rate of those.

The difference in a Hurri and a zeke is that a Hurri can keep control in a dive were a zeke will lock up. If the person in the Hurri knows not to overshoot their is really nothing that can be done especially if their is no air between you and the ground..

Yeah, surely Grits and the other ones are right, the pilot makes the difference between an easy fight and a hellish nightmare, but the spirit of the thread is not this.
The above is given for granted.

But we all have (IMO, at least) some planes of which, when seen approching, we immediately think "Oh, crap, not an , not now!".... especially if you're in a furball and outnumbered. What plane/planes is/are that? That's the topic! ;)

One I hate in the "outnumbered furball" scenario: the F6F.  If I'm in that furball, my strategy is to hopefully take guys down quickly with snapshots and lucky critical hits to even the odds, because there just isn't time to sit on anyone's 6 for long.  The F6F pretty much rules this out, as the thing is a freaking bullet sponge.  And on top of that, it's not a bad fighter to boot.  Pain.  In.  The.  Butt.  The FM-2 poses a similar challenge, but at least it's slow.
