your right i should reword to honor/ repsect but then again la7s aint that honarable, i usually have no trouble with 262s i almost never die to them unless im afk because those dweebs just fly to fast plus i try a slipt s to immelin and get on his 6 and call him out on chnl 200 saying quite runnin ya noob 262, usually brings em back long enough for them to lose 1 engine or a wing then i finish em. Chog- hurri2c for sure but i can outspeed the chog at most alts in my pony hurri is a nat but same applies nose down and pray, and yes i take most dogfights as learning experiences especially against my friends who are more skilled or learned, btw Benny those were some fun fights the other day lol. Ty for all your input guys<> keep it coming

I have yet to fear a particular fighter plane.  There are a few I find annoying.  If we are talking one vs. one, I literally will take on anyone.  The only fear I get are from people with multiple 20mm hispanos (hurris, typhys, temps, chogs...) who will literally take any sort of hail mary shot on you (spray and pray), virtually from any distance, as it only takes one of those suckers landing on your plane to ruin the fight.

I do have a list of annoying planes, but only if I find them in combination with others.  A Hurri IIC or A6M mixed up with a bunch of others, generally not a happy thing. LAs I could care less about, but they are annoying in furballs as they are usually flown by someone who will take any shot on anyone regardless of what sort of position they will be in at the outcome... the typical noob that plows through a furball at 400mph, takes one or two planes, before being popped because he didnt really care about surviving the fight. Me262s are annoying because you cant relax your SA... they are so damn quick!

So what do I fear?  Really high bombers with a good gunner. Having drastically reduced degraded aircraft performance due to high altitude coupled with 6+ .50 caliber machines with pin point accuracy pointed at you is not fun.  If after one pass (and no, I am not the guy who approaches bombers from their six o'clock on level flight) you get the sense the gunner is any good, just bug off and let them bomb...

Then 5 La7s and 7 Spit 16s dive on him before I can worry anymore about it.

Ahh...but the P-40 is not awful, its great, you have to know how to use it.

Which makes the same point I and several others made, its NOT the plane its the pilot. I dont care what kind of plane is above, below or beside me, I worry about who is behind the stick.

Agreed.  Generally, if I see one of those really "weak" A/C in one of the MAs, I fear it.  Only the good sticks fly the crappy planes.

Agreed.  Worry about the plane that looks a lot inferior to yours.

I think every post should be implicity preceded with "pilot skill being equal".

"Pilot skill being equal", the P40 is awful relative to most other fighters.

Yes, the pilot matters, but the popular implication that it's ALL that matters seems pretty unrealistic.    It's illogical.  It's the pilot AND the plane.

Its even funnier in the raw AH film because you cant see all of them on that video. I counted once and I think it was me vs 28 Knights. :)

A high F4U-1.
Only people that know how to fly this plane actually fly it, and if I see it chances are I'll get smoked.

Most of the noobs and dweebs that play this game always get the "latest" model because they think just because it says P-47N it's better then the P-47D-40 (everyone knows the best jug is the D25 ;).

"N > D yo!!! lololoz"........ :rofl

I always laugh when I see swarms of P-47Ns on the deck, light P-38Ls trying to turnfight, Yak9T wasting all his ammo in one burst (same with the Hurri2D), and La7s and Spit 16s (the classic dweeb planes).

I lose respect for established pilots and vets landing kills in La7s and Spit 16s. If you're already a vet you don't need to fly either aircraft to land kills.

I have MUCH respect for pilots that fly: F4U-1s, F4Fs, FM2s, 109G series, 109E, 109F, Ki161, P40B and E models, P-47D-25, P-38G and J models, Spit 5 (usually I chalk a Spit 1 and a Hurri 1 up to a noob who doesn't know any better...bless their poor souls), 190A-5, Ju-87, C.202, and the B5N....anyone flying a bomber with only 1 rear gun deserves a handshake.

Great planes that sometimes give me trouble (and I also love to fly these) are the C.205, Ki-84, Spit 8, P-47D-25, F4U-4, F4U-1A, and the F6F.
