One day within the last month I had that "haven't lost a 262 in awhile" feeling so I took one up.
Three flights later I had lost two 262s and a C-hog. Next hop was planning on a loosing a Spit 14 but it was late and I logged off.

I love when threads go another way ...

Anyway I love flying 262s, just to ruin those kid napoleon mishuns.Very often i engage other 262s at co-alt.Those aren't bnz fights, pure tnb.

Btw i am not sad for losing 262s like some thought in this thread.It's all game:)

We only learned by losing them the same way you did. And occasionally I still do - A few days ago Thndregg got a free 262 kill in his B24 that way

And I still remember my first 262 sortie. It ended when I decided to accept a head-on by a 190A8....

last summer i lost 4 262s in a day ,and the end of the prevouis tour i lost 2 tempests because i was trying eat/ watch tv/ and talk on the phone, 3rd sortie in the temp was a 29 kill spree was awsome!what ya expect eh..( i think finishing dinner turning off tv and hanging up phone helped)

I killshot myself in a 262. A mossie was attacking some friendly bombers. I decided to help the buff pilot by getting the mossie, only problem was the mossie was between me and the buffs. I guess I put too many rounds into the bombers.
