My wish...

How about fixing the bug that let's a jeep run inside you and kill the driver?

The only argument that I heard that had some sense was that someone could pull up in a jeep and set a satchel charge on your tank.  That was the justification.

Fine, give us satchel bombs and allow us to de-jeep, run around attaching these bombs and killing tanks....

Or..............fix the bug that let's them penetrate the tank and be done with it.

Forgotten, but back in the game.  :)

Not really a bug, just how they had to code GV's, which are, IIRC, based on earlier aircraft code.  Think trying to fix this game play issue creates more problems in the collision model.

'Course, if you let the Rat Patrol run right up on you like that in an unarmored jeep, you kinda deserve to get kilt.

It only takes a few .303 rounds to immobilise a jeep, if you ignorant enough to let one sneak up on you, you deserve 'the bug' :D

I think thread had to be named "Jeep anti-dweebness". If you got killed by jeep, you deserve it.

btw, it more feature than bug for me.

LOL your SA must be incredibly bad to let a Jeep drive into you and kill you.

You deserve to die.

Good tankers are on the pintle gun alot when not actively using their cannon.  Pintle vs jeep is in favor of the pintle.

I love to GV and do Jabo missions vs GVs, get used to it.  Being good at one helps in the other.

AAOlds is right.  Most tankers, including me, are in the commanders position looking out for other tanks and threats, with that wonderful wide field of view.  Or they should be.:p  Hell, I drive in the commanders position using the rudder input to stear.  If you are not running from cover to cover, you better be making frequent stops and kill your engine to listen for other tanks, jeeps, ect.  Hell you can even lay your gun resonably close to an enemy vehicle by listening to where the sound the other guy is making is coming from.(I love my STEREO headphones, they go to 11):D   If you don't have the SA to figure out that a jeep is comming up on you, then you deserve to have that jeep squat and drop a duce down your hatch.  :lol

I wonder if you could replace the Jeep engine sound in your FE with another sound like 'jeep jeep JEEP JEEP JEEP JEEP JEEP!'

That would probably solve your problem.

Pull the sound off the Jeep character from the Popeye cartoons.  jeep-jeep  Jeep -Jeep  JEEP-JEEP....

Someone ought to just slip that into their sound pack w/o telling anyone.

well then in this case it leads me to ask a question.

if the two FE can be so far from matching each other, is it not possible for the jeep to be 500 yrds away from you in some trees on your FE, whereas on the jeeps computer he is sitting right inside your tank?

also, if what youre telling me is correct, then there is absolutely zero point in playing the GV war with any form of tactics. on my FE i am hiding in some dense trees and totaly safe from all attackers....but....on the enemy's FE i am sitting 500yrds away in the middle of open ground.

so, whats the point in doing anything other than spawn camping and tank town.......oh....*cogs turning, machinery grinding, light bulb pings on*......yes....im starting to undestand.
400 yrds on my tail, right where i want you... [/size]
