Due to moderatprs not being available all the time, the perception of fariness is not attainable.  That is one reason the .report came into existence.  It allows the community an option to help level the playing field when a moderator is not available.

I take it you did not report the other player?

So I take it you also believe habitual offenders should be given the same latitude as a first time offender should be.

From what Iv seen the .report does nothing, and can be abbused unless it takes a snapshot of what that person said. I don't know how it works so I dont report people. That and other reasons why I havent said that persons name.

I dont know what it takes to be a mod. but I know unless they are a HTC member it can be abused.

I think you should have a chat with Skuzzy and you'll get a better understanding of what happens.   Case in point, every now and then I'll call down to HTC and annoy/chat with Skuzzy.    I had an issue come up and addressed it with Skuzzy, he gave an answer to my questions.   Skuzzy knows when he talks to me that I don't feed him a line of BS, and can more or less paint the picture, and provide accurate details.

I have enjoy talking to Skuzzy, because he and the rest of HTC cares about their game.   If I cuss, it is on me.   If I feel a Moderator (or the Auto Filter) is in the wrong, I'll call Skuzzy.   But I won't call them and beg to get get my priv's back.

Actions have consequences.

That simple connection, between what I do and what happens to me, is the biggest casualty in our culture of victimhood. If that one concept could be really understood by everyone, 80% of this nation's ills would be gone. Your grade wasn't good because you didn't study enough. The ref called you and not the other guy because you mouthed off to him last play. You didnt get the promotion because the other guy worked harder, or explained his ideas better to the boss....but if he's a loser and got it because he sucked up to the boss, the boss wil figure that out and you'll still be available.

Actions have consequences. My kids have heard that so much that they tell me they'll put it on my gravestone. (THey're kidding.....I think....)

But I have noticed that if you try to explain that ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES to someone who doesnt want to believe it, someone who thinks bad things are always someone else's fault, you're generally wasting your breath.

Why not.  That'd actually be a pretty good quote for a gravestone.  Make everyone else wonder what the back story is.

I love it when the "Liberal Left" makes a point by name calling and outright offensive statements.

Got a point there.

Truth is, though, it hardly ever comes up any more. since its so obviously true and since they've integrated it in their own lives and thought patterns. Now, for example, my son gets a little irritated with the qualified apologies most people use. ("I'm sorry I lost my temper, but when you....") "If they're not gunna take responsibility for what they did, why are they even apologizing?" My daughter in college can't understand why people don't just plug away with their studying: "If you work a little bit at a time, then you've got time to goof off when you feel like it and you don't have to cram at midterms."

Obviously, they've developed more good sense than I ever had.

Liberal left?  Ha!  Ho ho!  Hoo hoo!  That is very good.  I will be certain to relate this one to my friend Rob, who is nearly as much of a right wing conservative fundamentalist as I am.  He will appreciate the good joke.

I did do some name calling but I note you didn't respond to my point about simple courtesy.  I suppose I could have given you some as an example, but you already made it clear that you don't care about such trivial things before ever I posted.

As I stated in my first post, any statement which uses terms such as "simple courtesy" must first be agreed to by all parties before having any weight.  You attempt to gather ungranted support for YOUR opinion by simply using terms such as this as tho EVERYONE agreed with you and only a completed antichrist would disagree.

As far as calling yourself conservative, I do indeed find that a Hoot :)

Ok, how about we use "common" courtesy instead?

It's a common, though not universal, thought that swearing in public is poor form.  Probably much more common than the people who think swearing is appropriate at all times and in all places.

How so?  I'm a gun owner, a religious fundamentalist, and a meat-eater.  I disapprove of illegal immigrants, homosexuality, and feminists.  I consider abortion a crime, and oppose environmentalism.  I believe in keeping the death penalty, adhering to the constitution, and reducing the government's power.  And I believe in an absolute standard.  They don't get much more right wing than me.

You, on the other hand, are an admitted relativist - you believe that there's no real right or wrong, that it's all in the eyes of the individual.  And that's liberal left.  That's the view the feminists, gun-control crowd, and environmentalists take.  Anything goes as long as it benefits them.  They cry "tolerance" but they have no tolerance for those who disagree with them.  They are just as intolerant as those whom they accuse of intolerance; the "tolerance" crowd is simply intolerant about different things.

I believe in common courtesy, too, but as I said you've made it clear that you care not a fig for that, so I feel no reason to trouble myself with it when addressing you.

Disclaimer: Sincere apologies to all of the atheists, vegans, illegal immigrants, homosexuals, feminists, abortionists, environmentalists, and government officials I've offended with this post.

In particular, foul language in the presence of children is greatly frowned upon.  In fact, in certain areas of the United States of America, it is against the law.
