The simple solution would to have made some moderators for the DA much the same as the MA's, TA, SEA, and AvA already have.
Now I realize that many of the guys who enjoy the DA can be... Well, not so nice
on the forums (until you get the joke, anyway), but I would be willing to bet my account that you could make any single one of the old regulars there a CM or Mod for the DA without them abusing their power. Heck, make us all one. We'll do it for free.
Give some guys CM power in the DA, and type up an appropriate arena message setting some ground rules.
Another solution (less simple) would be to allow squads to turn Killshooter on/off for their own squad. Then all of us could just join up into a squad and have at it.
But the current "solution?" What does it solve? Not picking on you, Booz, but how often are you in the DA? It seems EVERY time I go there's STILL someone who doesn't know what they're doing jumping into a fight or trying to vulch. The only differences being that now is that they have a slightly longer flight to get alt, and only one target to shoot at.
This is all a great shame because the DA was the place to be back when killshooter was off. You could not possibly get better quicker than going in there for an hour every night. If you need proof, look at Creton. Two years ago, he sucked (no offense
), now, he's one of the better duelers out there.
Mega, if you want to get some sort of petition going, just let me know, because I am all about Dueling Arena Reform
And also I think the DA needs a new map... I emailed Dux some suggestions a long while back but I'm sure he's been busy with more things on his plate
Maybe I'll make the email public (if I can find it) and see what you all think.
