And yeah, pretty much all the news networks suck.

For every liberal source you provide praising Bush or any other conservative I'll show you a Fox News report praising a liberal or condemning a conservative. Consider the gauntlet thrown.

The BBC is about as biased as they come.

I don't think you have listened to the BBC World Service. Stream the link. Find the bias. Find the slant.I dare you.

Displaying arrogance and ignorance in one thread is quite an accomplishment.

Lets all give him a hand.

If the  Dems are afraid to have Fox run their debate, how are we to expect them to deal with a religious movement which wants to wipe us off the face of the Earth?
Liberal standards for debate can apparently be met by saying "Fox sucks"... What on their 6:00 news is so horrible?  They even have 2 libs and 2 conservatives discussing the news of the day in the last 20 minutes. Compare that to CNN with Jack Cafferty:
Quote
"This is all being done by the republican majority in an effort to appeal to Right-wing nuts in the Republican Party ahead of the upcoming mid-term elections. Ignore all of the pressing issues facing the country, and instead go grovel at the feet of the lunatic fringe. Senator Frist should be very proud of himself. That's leadership." -on the Senate voting for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage

Quote
"We all hope nothing happens to Arlen Specter, the Republican head of the Senate Judiciary Committee, cause he might be all that stands between us and a full blown dictatorship in this country. He's vowed to question these phone company executives about volunteering to provide the government with my telephone records, and yours, and tens of millions of other Americans."

"How important is the new Osama bin Laden tape? The last time we got a tape from Osama was right before the 2004 presidential election. Now here we are, four days away from Bush wiretapping hearings and up pops another tape from Osama bin Laden. Coincidence? Who knows."

indy Sheehan Media Hero Award – Chris Matthews for claiming Sheehan is more informed than Congress.

Cindy Sheehan: "We’re not going to cure terrorism and spread peace and good will in the Middle East by killing innocent people ... I see Iraq as the base for spreading imperialism...."
Host Chris Matthews: "Are you considering running for Congress, Cindy?"
Sheehan: "No, not this time...."
Matthews: "Okay. Well, I have to tell you, you sound more informed than most U.S. Congresspeople, so maybe you should run."

Slam Uncle Sam Award – Chris Matthews praising Jane Fonda's "objective" views on the Vietnam War
Actress Jane Fonda: “… But horrible things happened … we shouldn’t have been there [Vietnam]. So, you know, from that point of view, no, they weren’t good guys. They did bad things, just like we did. But we should never have been there."
Host Chris Matthews: "But there were a lot of people, Jane, who are very, a lot of people who are very gung-ho American, very patriotic, thought that war was a mistake at the time and later. But they can’t imagine slipping out of their American skin, their American soul and becoming so objective, as you just were a minute ago, to put yourself above both us and the Vietnamese and saying, ‘I find the Vietnamese were objectively the good guys.’ How do you step out of being an American to make such an objective judgment?"
— Exchange on MSNBC’s Hardball on April 15. Fonda was promoting her new book, My Life So Far.

bj229, you are running into the brainless demodork response, an unthinking regurgitation demmies spout because they heard it elsewhere so it must be true.  Basically a display of ignorance of the news program from those who haven't even bothered to watch it.

Kind of like when Dave Letterman told OReilly that 60% of what Bill says is crap, and when Bill asked for an example, Dave can't give one and admits he doesn't watch the show.  Real typical libbie crap, tossing a judgement of Fox and it's people without watching the show.  Yeah, you don't need to watch it a while to offer an objective opinion if you are a left winger, you can just spout nonsense.

Most typical is someone who says "I have watched it" when all they really did was watch 5 minutes of it once.

But, what do you expect from someone who would vote for Hillary anyway?

Guys, I did not intend to generate animosity with this thread. I should have known better as the nature of politics is divisive and I am as prone as anyone to fall into the us vs them competition. Let us rather be willing to consider another's point of view, even if we consider them to be diametrically and extremely opposed to our own.

I can understand why some hate Fox News so much. Their strength does seem to be applied towards supporting the conservative view which explains why I like them. That they can make concessions to the other side does grant them at least a semblance of balance, something the hard core left is sorely lacking or at least very reluctant to do. This paints one as magnanimous while the other looks mean and small. We all choose our own associations, choose wisely.  ;)

I guess I wouldn't have a problem with Fox News or CNN if they removed the "news" part from their titles.
