Rip, do you think maybe all those "Bush is bad" stories might have something to do with Bush actually doing a bad job? It is within the realm of possibility, isn't it?
Would you prefer they paint a faux rosy picture of Katrina instead of showing some actual Katrina victims? Perhaps they should make up fake statistics about NOAA so it becomes a feel good story about weathermen. Should they do a story on immigration and not report on Bush's POV?
I suppose Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh are "legitimate" sources since they would never report the truth on anything Bush did wrong. I don't remember anyone calling the news biased when 4/5 stories focused on Clinton and his foul-ups.
What you're missing here is:
No "other side of the story" being reported. Its one-way and slanted indisputedly left!
Examples:
Story 1: Katrina aftermath: Bush is bad.
(They failed to remind viewers that a castostrophic event has never occured at this level before in N.O. and no one, not even Nostrodomis could have predicted the construction "vulching" that occurred after...I mean they were actually suggesting the Bush Admin was behind the price gouging going on by the contractors rebuilding N.O.!!!)
Story 2: NOAA undermanned and under funded. Bush mentioned. Bush is bad.
(Failed to mention that NOAA has been undermanned and underfunded for 2 decades now! Do the research!)
Story 3: Immigration, Bush administration mentioned...Bush is bad.
(Failed to mention the Democrats that were the weight pushing this bill forward! Where was the Ted Kennedy follow up story?!?)
Story 4: Iraq....yep, Bush is bad.
(Speaks for itself, start with a story about another dead soldier and how Bush is bad...rinse and repeat)
Whoop@ Story 5: "how Laura Bush gets alittle bit of extra cash every year..." coming up after the commercial!!
(They make this sound like she's abusing money entitled to her..how? By comparing how much of this entitlement money was used by previous First ladies for charity, and how Mrs. Bush has not planned to donate any to charity yet...! OMG, talk about partisan politics!)
Seriously, if you cannot see the slant left on NBC evening news, and only see the slant right on Fox, then you are either truly blind, partisan beyond all recovery, or just stupid.
