Radar Settings

No one has commented on it yet, so I guess I will be the first --

Oldman said the radar in the current Rhine map is set to refresh every two minutes.  This makes the dot dar useless for finding a fight.

While under most circumstances this might be fun to try, with the current map, clouds are everywhere obscuring your vision.  It is making it very difficult to find your enemy to fight him.

When it was just Oldman and me, we didn't mind doing a Marco-Polo to find a 1v1 fight.  When there are numbers on, you don't want to do that or else you will find yourself in a 6v1 fight very quickly . . .

Could either the refresh rate be adjusted or the clouds removed (preferably the former)?

I would rather have it at about 20-30 seconds or dot dar gone. How it is now its useless. Every two minutes means the dot you are seeing ten miles away could be the guy on your six.

And one could only hope that it would be Guppy35.... :)

Not having flown in the AvA ( or any arena for that matter ) much
lately but popping in occasionally, I too feel that a 2 minute update
rate is pretty useless, especially given the low numbers involved.

I see no problem it a much higher update rate. Just means I get
to a fight and die quicker, all the quicker to re-up and do it again...

We switched the settings back to 5 second refresh rate.

May experiment further.  Two minutes is perhaps too long.
