Went online for a bit last night. Was flying around the MA when i decided to go into the 8 player arena to meet some friends.
I entered a server whose host was 'Revolver'. At first, pretty nice guy, friendly and reasonable. Eventually we started arguing about the Spitfire. He stated it is completely overmodeled in everyway possible. All I stated is that only the 16 seems overmodeled and only in turning. He rebuttled by saying 'no spitfire could dive so fast. They had wooden wings.'
...
Yes. Wooden wings. Ok, wonderful. Someone who states that the Spitfire is overmodeled believes it's got wooden wings. I told him that in 1943, a spitfire dove to mach 0.80 +. After responding by telling me how much of a bull@#$tter i was, he kicked me. Awesome.
The spitfire really isn't the point, it's how ignorant/arrogant some people can be. Sometimes it begins as a friendly descussion of politics. Ends up in some people getting kicked, even though they didn't say anything wrong or completely illogical. I stand up for them I get kicked. Noobs start playing. Others say 'give up noob, go home' or something like 'leave that dumb lala in the hangar'. After hearing such, I find that's just stupid. It's a game. Games = built for fun. Unless they're really screwing around with you, why would you even be so hostile to them? Bah. Just on my mind.
