When you post there is a button above where you type that says IMG, click it and paste the URL into the box.  You may get a pop up the first time, choose "temporarily allow..."

Glad to "hear" that all is working out well. It's tough to be a parent when the kid is sick, you feel so darn helpless and wish you could trade places with the kid at least 3 times a minute.
