Gentlemen,
Sorry for the delay for the frame 3 results and final results. The Japanese soundly defeated the allies in Frame 3 and as a result of it took the series. Basically this happened because the Japanese were successful in sinking 3 CVs and 1 CA while the USN did not sink any ships.
For all three frame the Allies dominated the air war but were unable to prevent the Japanese from successfully hitting their ground targets and sinking ships. Conversely the Allies were not successful in matching the Japanese on getting bombs on target and did not shoot down enough planes to make up for the lack of success on ground pounding.
FRAME 3615 = Allied Air Kills 615
000 = Allied Ground Attack 0
600 = Allied Ground Defense 600
FR3 Total =
12150445 = Axis Air Kills
0750 = Axis Ground Attacks
1350 = Axis Ground Defense
FR3 Total =
2545[/list]
I think the allied lack of success sinking ships might be do to the fact that the allies had 3 squads barely show up for the event (seriously under their minimum numbers). I don’t know the allied plan but this could have definitely affect the strike packages by either not having JABO / Torp planes or escorts to protect those planes.
The overall FSO goes to the Japanese who scored 5785 points in three frames versus the allies 4233.
