So, What is UnAmerican? Does that deserve an autosquelch?

Well, we were flying tonight in the MA, and as the time of the month rolls around, we started the monthly "Hillary 08" and "no guns" troll.  

I was told by many in the MA that I was "unAmerican" and even had several PM death threats.  Normally I laugh those off, as in reality, any one making a death threat over an ingame PM system really is sad, and more than likely lives in a trailer in pow-dunk no where with out the access to funds to be able to fly to Colorado Springs to kill me.  Either way, we still contiuned with the troll and witnessed a lot of cussing, just because I was expressing support for Hillary in '08.  We also played the age old troll of "stop the illegal war".  After being called an "UnAmerican" several times, it got me to thinking... what is an "UnAmerican"?  Is it someone that does not agree with your beliefs?  Are people that blind now-a-days that they feel anyone that speaks differently from them is "UnAmerican"?  In truth, I really no longer no where I stand on the war in Iraq, or Bush as a president....  I often wonder whether we have dug such a whole in this country morally that anything we do in the future is going to be mure and mostly wrong.  Apparently the society of close minded, throat hooked idiots in the MA think so.  I was chat suspended because of these individuals, even though several oof them used explicit profanity towards my views in the troll...

So I ask this, "What is"UnAmerican" and why is it if you offer up an opposing view to a majority that you get labeled that way...?

(btw "trailer trash death threat man", I work pretty much every day at COS with the only hangars that have black and white checkerboard roofs  ( there are three linked together), if you can actually read, come to the hangars and ask for Derek.  It is on the NW west side of the airport.  You can't miss it off Powers.)

If on the other hand, you feel you need to log on and have a political discussion with potential morons in game, well....you know where that gets you.  To starting a thread like this.

My advice, saddle up in a cartoon plane and go flying about in cartoon land, killing and laughing all the while.  As soon as someone gets mouthy, squelch em.

Yes, but abuse of the "report chat" feature is the issue I am bringing up.  Not once did I use profanity, even though it was used many times in response to my statements.  That to me preturbs me more than anything else.   That abuse is what makes me angry over this.  I get to endure a long weekend without being able to chat with friends and my squad because a bunch of close minded imbeciles abused an ingame feature to further their own plotical agenda.  That is wrong.

Maybe they were reporting you for being an irritating text troll in a flightsim gaming arena.

Lots of stuff that has nothing to do with profanity can get you squelched or banned.

If your texting needs aren't being fulfilled in the HTC game arenas, I suggest AOL chat for your future trolling.  Or get one of those consoles, because I heard they're really fun for texting all sorts of interesting people who have lots of fascinating things to chat about.  ICQ is also good for chat, and you could even start up an anti-gun hillary 08 myspace page.  I bet that you wouldn't get squelched there.  Some kid told me that even those newfangled mobile phones can be used for chat, so I'm sure you could be a great troll with one of those.

Of course, then you wouldn't get to troll the forums whining about getting squelched for trolling chat in...  what's that place... oh yea, the main arena for a combat flightsim game.  But you could try to pass yourself off as a pedophile and then you could complain about getting your myspace page deleted and complain about getting arrested for being a pedophile... doesn't that sound like more fun than trolling some boring old flightsim chat?



Not that I think death threats are cool or anything, but sheesh, what did you expect?  You tossed out some bait and got some good bites, including a moderator who took your whole rod and reel.  You're like the guy who jumps into a wild animal cage and whines about getting bit, double-whines about getting tossed out of the zoo, triple whines about getting fined, and quadruple whines about getting a courtroom conviction for causing a problem.  As my younger sister so eloquently puts it, "Well, Duh!".

With all due respect, you admit you were out trolling, i.e. trying to get a rise out of people.  So, it worked -- and they "fought back" the only effective way they could.

If you don't want to be muted, don't go out looking to stir people up.  Seems pretty simple to me.


As for the "unamerican" claim, falsely accusing your country of a crime could be considered such.  "Disagreeing" is not the issue -- "Denigrating" is.

People troll all the time, the troll is not the issue, i have seen people troll for hours on end and no one does anything about it. Just so happens some mod didn't agree with bodhi and squelched him because of a different view point, that is wrong.

any troll can distract the gaming experience. What if someone cares about ford trucks as much as someone cares about politics and i say fords suck dodge rules. Same thing. It isn't bodhi's fault people care so much they give death threats and curse because of something someone they never met typed. did you get all that? basically your point is void. All sort of trolls are thrown and people react differently to different ones. Bodhi didn't deserve to get muted because someones viewpoint was different.
