It's a good laugh when you have the family round and need a diversion.

It's not so much fun when your fiancee can get 8 or 9 strikes in a single game of bowling without havinga clue what she is doing, while you are trying to be technical and use spin etc and maybe average 160.

Ahem.

Anyway, the tennis and boxing is great fun, and the internet access through the free opera web browser is very well put together. I've ordered that football game, Mario Strikers or something as its the first online Wii game.

I think Nintendo have done really well with the whole concept; I can't think of another games system (apart from your average monopoly style boardgame) that the family can play on a wet bank holiday monday.

It's excellent, you can't go wrong.  The games that come with it are great, and WiiPlay is a great bargain too, because it's $50 and comes with another Wiimote (plus has more fun games).

I originally bought the wii for my 10 year old, but I find myself playing it more than she does. :)

I have an xcrap360 too, but it's sitting in the closet getting dust which is where it belongs.

Clerk: No thanks, I went 10 minutes ago

A system named after urine. Is the next version of it going to be called "stones"?

I bought a 360 and it's collecting dust too.  :cry

My gripe is the controllers.  I'd rather have a PC keyboard type controller than those things they design for kids.

Graphics aren't everything. Besides that, if I want true eye candy my PC has the horsepower to out perform the 360 in that department anyway.

If in your opinon the 360 is better, how come people are selling their xcrap360's for Wii's? :) Because the Wii actually brings something new to the table. Zelda on the Wii, and boxing kicks ass.

I bought a Wii, bundled with Zelda Twilight Princess.  I believe it was a great buy.  Lots of fun playing Wii Sports with the kids.  If you get one, I'd say deffinately get Wii Play.  Wii-motes are like 40 bucks each, and Wii Play comes with like 8-9 games on the disc and an extra Wii-mote for 50.

Blazing Angels on the Wii alot of fun too.  I think I play it more than the kids do.

I dont have a Wii but I have played the xbox360 and I have a PS3 and I cant picture anything that beats a PS3.  The thing is incredibly fast, graphics on it are hard to beat, and the games for it are good...still waiting for more to arrive.

But think you may actually lose the weight once gained from playing AH. :p
