Will the kill-stealing never end?

Three blatant kill-steals in 3 hours of play last night.

At least one of them appologized immediately.

Really, I could care less about HO's, vulching, cherry-pickers, etc. but kill stealing really gets under my skin.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Thats how I look at it. Its more my fault if I don't get the kill. If I didn't hit them hard enough when I had my chance, then I really don't deserve the kill.

This game is well populated with pilots who could not hit their own backside with a chair. Their chances of shooting down something completely on their own is remote. So, you can expect that they will all strive to shoot anything already disabled.

I fly the TBM and Boston III as a fighters from time to time. I'll land 1 or 2 kills, along with 5 or 6 assists. The assists result from unwanted interlopers zooming in and cherry picking a fighter I have saddled up on. It's a low-class thing to do, it shows disrespect and a general lack of consideration. It's also standard procedure for many players. That's how it is in Aces High... It no longer bothers me. However, if I see a former kill stealer in trouble and needing help... He's on his own. After he's dead, then I'll kill his attacker(s).

A question comes to mind sir. Were the steals done while you were attacking or after you thought the damage was enough that the kill was in the bag cuz the guy would crash?

If it was the first, then I can agree with you.

If it was the second, many a time have I seen veteran pilots break off my six when flying a lone B-26 streaming smoke and/or fuel. I can only assume they thought they had the kill in the bag.....but I end up making it back and landing safely. If this was the case, all I can say is make sure it's dead.

If the plane is wreckage falling to the ground then peeps should avoid shooting at it, although I did steal this guy's kill a few days ago for him HO'ing the fella I was 200 off of!  I only kill steal(intentionally)  when I think the guy is trying to steal it from me or shooting over my shoulder! :aok

i think most of the kill stealers are newbies ignorant of the culture.  and then there is the occasional score monkeys.

it really irks me when i am flying a lesser aircraft for the challenge and somebody comes along and takes my hard earned kill - an aircraft on fire or one floundering with tail feathers shot off - etc - and takes it.

i'm not that good, so when i do a good job out thinking and out manuvering a superior aircraft, i really want that kill.  i will leave an aircraft on fire to limp away if he can't land ( unless it is still a threat) to save ammo.  it just absolutely ruins my immersion to have to worry about the lame wimps stealing the kill out from under me, forcing me to expend needless ammo because of them.

guilty parties may not care what i think, but i forever brand a kill stealer as an prettythanghole, and i will never speak to them or respond to them in any way again, unless i see mitigating circumstances.

LOL. Reminds me of the other day. I caught a KS stealing another guys kill. I did not say anything the first two times it happend, on the third I told him "Way to go you weenie, go steal some more kills." His partner in crime chimed in with "Watch your mouth, I have kids in the room, you cussed and I am going to report you.." When did weenie become a bad word? I missed that memo.

I stole a kill from furball once, he liked it and thanked me for it.
