Will the kill-stealing never end?

I hardly ever see anyone fire on a plane that is obviously completely disabled and going down.  So I guess you guys are complaining about someone stealing the kill on the plane that you plan to kill sometime in the future... if things go well.  In other words, you expect everyone else to know which plane you've picked out for destruction and to stay away until you finish your task.

OK.  Maybe that would be obvious if you were hard on its tail.  But, if you are not closing on the target, and the undamaged target is running, and I can catch the target, then I'm going to steal "your" kill.

Or, if "your" target appears to be on your six and you haven't waved off help via range vox, then I'm going to engage to try to help you.

Or if your target is smoking but he's still going to make it to take out some strat target, I'm going to try to stop him.

Or, if you are flying an A20 or TBM, then people might often steal "your" kill because they think you are in trouble and are trying to help you.  How are they to know you are not a bomber in trouble, but are some silly person who likes to show off by getting kills in low performance planes?

Pipz and singing, I remember those days.   It was like wiping with 35 grit sandpaper.

Wrong.  I don't consider that kill-stealing.  I'm talking about a plane in flames that is no threat to anyone or anything or one missing entire wings and/or tail sections and fluttering to the ground.

People who swoop in to pump rounds into those planes to get the kill are the lamest of dweebs IMHO and I see at least 2 per week and three in three hours just last night.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

This is why any time I see a pissin' contest about to develop with some cranky or self-righteous player, I run film. False vox/text reports will get you bounced, and film is adequate evidence.

The best way to deal with any trouble is to run film. Let them condemn themselves.

If you fly around in  a pack of 30 hungry sharks and a flailing, burning, twirling piece of one winged meat  falls through the crowd, then all I have to say is "EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF!!!!."

I might if: when I see an enemy fighter, I can pitch the bombs and go after it.

Also, weekend afternoons are not conducive to my schedule. But, I appreciate the offer. :aok

Bald... I will say that a plane that is a torch but is still flying is a threat... Zero's burn forever.. These types of planes I will shoot but I do try and put as few rounds into them as possible to get them down... They are flying they can fight and are not KILLED... Yet..

Planes that are fluttering down I will not shoot...

Yes its frustrating when youve done the guy in (with my skills thats a feat in itself) and someone pumps a few thousand rounds into him for their enjoyment but what can you do...

SHawk made the remark one night that I sure made sure that the guy I shot was dead.I kept hammering the plane until it blew up.

The reason:I didn't want the five other guys nearby chasing the carcass down and getting the kill on someone I shot the tail off of.

The one thing I've started to do,and will continue to do is if you're behind me and shooting over my shoulder,I WILL break into your tracers.
