Forumal One versus IndyCar

Some interesting observations from the biggest weekend of racing of the year:

1. IndyCar's top star is a burd.

2. IndyCar drivers stop racing when it rains.

Draw your own conclusions.

F1 also races in the rain, while NASCAR Won't.

Ayrton Senna was an amazing Wet Track driver.   He won the majority of races in the rain.   I still remember him at Donington in 1993 in an underpowered Cosworth-McLaren going from 5th to 1st in one lap, in the rain.    That is probably the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

I remember a race in Monico that was stopped because of rain. Didn't restart either.

As far as I know, Indycar stops racing in the rain on ovals.

Indy Car is BS now after the split..

Indy Car used to be what is currently CART. Tony George the owner of Indianapolis speedway owned the trade mark for the namer name "Indy Car".

When he decided to make his own series he took the name from the "real" Indy Car series and they had to switch to the name CART and they call the cars champ cars. That had a very bad effect on the series in general.

the current "Indy Cars" are the cars that run in the IRL series and really can't be compared to F1 cars.  No way could you race on a oval track in the rain.

Now the "true" Indy Cars from the CART series do race in the rain and are somewhat comparable to F1 in driving styles. However CART cars can't compete with F1 cars in the technology realm. Simply because the series has rules to keep the racing somewhat affordable.

I cant stop myself from watching F1 even if i must admit it is rather boring when nobody crashes.

Only race all year that i really enjoy is 24H at Le Mans. You can see an hour, go eat take a swim and go back in to see another hour or a just a few mins and do that 24 hours straight :)

Yeah I know I was cheating... a bit.... but this one wasn't holding an umbrella:

Still trying to figure out wtf Forumal is.

Only interesting thing about F1 is the pre-race ceremony.  That last exciting F1 race that I watched was at Spa in 1998.  Talk about INSTANT JUNKYARD!

OMG, the humanity!!

That's true, F1 would need umbrellas if its brollies made the sun shine like MGP's does.

Senna was amazing with rain and without rain. See the F.Alonso 1st lap at Hungary GP 2006 with Renault, ¿Play Station game?.
