I was flying around a quiet enemy base when a 109 upped. I shot both of his wings off and fell from the sky. Did I get a kill? No. Oh well, guess he got disconnected.
About 3 minutes later, another 109 took off. I only took off one wing that time. Still, no kill. This made me wonder if it was now necessary to make a plane explode in order to get a kill.
A couple minutes after that (you guessed it) a 109 is coming up to me. That time, I banged him up bad and he started spiraling to the deck. I stayed on him and made him explode. I got a kill and a name. Guess what - I checked the roster right after that and his name was nowhere to be found. He was just a little late that time, I suppose.
All of this leads me to believe that as this player realizes that he's going down, he desperately trys to alt-f4 in an attempt to cheat death.
I don't really care about not getting credited for kills, as long as
I know I killed them. It kinda adds a fun new challenge (not that I need anymore challenges in this game) to try to not only kill someone, but to also get credit for that kill.
And now for a meaningless and random emoticon:
