In reality, most turned it off as it was prone to give false readings.

What would be nice is if they upped its in game ordinance capacity, it could carry alot more than 2 x 1000LBS and 10 x 5.IN HVARs.  IIRC it could carry somewhere around 4000LBS of ordinance.

I'm curious..where did you get 4000lbs of ordinance? Every spec sheet I have on the J & L says 3200 lbs of external ordinance total.

Read Warren Bodie's book.  He's got the real scoop.  Alone of all authors, Bodie talked to Kelly Johnson before writing a book about his airplane.  4,000 is a conservative figure.

Yeah the 38 could tote around 4000 lbs or ordinance. That would be a real base/town/CV killer there.
