• Reply E-mail: This entry is optional. Use it only when you want replies to your messages to be sent to another e-mail address.
3. To change how you connect to Hotmail, click the Connection tab. The Connection tab contains information about how to connect to Hotmail.
You can set up the connection to Hotmail by using one of the following settings, as appropriate for your situation:
• Connect using my local area network (LAN): This setting lets you log on to your Hotmail server through your existing network connection. The network configuration that you are using must support access to the Internet. For more information, contact the network administrator.
• Connect using my phone line: This setting configures the Internet Mail Service to look for a dial-up networking connection to log on to your Internet service provider (ISP). After you log on to your ISP, Outlook tries to connect to Hotmail.
If this setting is unavailable (appears dimmed), the Microsoft Windows Dialup Networking feature may not be installed on your computer.
• Connect Using Internet Explorer's or a 3rd Party Dialer: This setting configures Outlook to use a default connection method that was already configured.
